Who am I?
I’m Jessica Jolley but most people call me Jess. I’ve built my career inside organizations solving for complexity. I started in strategy and operations consulting at Deloitte, helped stand up My Brother’s Keeper at the Obama Foundation, and led global people programs at Pendo.
I’ve advised founders, partnered with executive teams, and built the systems that support culture, clarity, and growth. My work lives at the intersection of people, purpose, and performance.
What is my expertise?
My expertise lies in connecting the dots across strategy, operations, and people. I’m especially skilled at stepping into ambiguous or high-growth environments and quickly making sense of what’s needed. Whether it’s designing org structures, scaling leadership development, aligning teams, or building systems that support both culture and performance, I bring a cross-functional lens and a deep understanding of how organizations actually work.
Why did I launch PLURAL?
I chose the name PLURAL because it means containing several diverse elements. That reflects both how I work and what modern organizations need to thrive.
I launched PLURAL because I saw a gap. Growing and evolving organizations often need senior, cross-functional leadership but may not be ready or able to bring on another full-time executive. What they do need is someone who can plug in quickly, work across people, strategy, and operations, and deliver thoughtful, collaborative results. That’s what I do best.
Who do I work with?
I work with founders, executive teams, and HR and operations leaders who are navigating growth, change, or complexity. Most of my clients are at inflection points. They are often scaling quickly, evolving their strategy, or building new structures and systems. They’re looking for a partner who can plug in fast, bring clarity, and help drive progress across people, strategy, and operations. I work with organizations in a flexible, collaborative way which is often as a fractional leader, project-based partner, or a strategic advisor.
What does fractional mean?
Fractional work means bringing senior-level expertise into your organization on a part-time or project basis. As a fractional partner, I plug into your team for a set number of hours or days per week to offer the strategic insight and hands-on support you need, without the overhead of a permanent hire.
